Management of WWW-Based Multimedia Services

The provision of networked multimedia service across the Internet offers many challenges. We present an approach to CORBA based multimedia service delivery in the World Wide Web environment. Our systems are founded on the notion of end-to-end Quality of Service, which permits negotiable and adaptable multimedia delivery. This paper presents the evolution of our web-based multimedia service framework. The paper concludes with a discussion of ongoing work on some emerging issues of multimedia streams delivery and management with reference to our research.
